If you can identify with any of these statements, you may be suffering from the effects of trauma/abuse, grief/loss, depression/anxiety, or having trouble dealing with the pressures of being a teen or a mom of young children.
It is perfectly okay to seek out help. We all want to think we are strong enough to do it all by ourselves, but there comes a time in our lives when we just cannot keep up the front any longer. When you decide that you need someone to talk to, I will be here. I have experience helping others deal with trauma, sexual abuse, grief, depression, and anxiety. I also have worked extensively with teens and their families, so I know the problems that are unique to teens. Being a mother of young children myself, I can relate to the exhausting days of feeling like you do not have enough to give, especially to yourself. Even if I did not mention the specific type of problem you are struggling with, I may be able to help. And if not, I have many other therapists whom I network with who may be able to help you.
How does the therapy process work? We will meet together at least weekly to determine what is holding you back from living the happy fulfilling life you were meant to live. I provide a supportive nonjudgmental environment where you can work on goals of your choosing. We will process the trauma, abuse, anxiety, grief, or depression, and help you gain acceptance for your current situation. It may be scary and painful at times, but it will be worth it in the end. Through our relationship, hopefully, you will start to feel that you are no longer alone and will gain the freedom that you deserve.
